A facial masque allows you to deeply cleanse your skin. Facial masques should be applied at least once a week for proper skincare. Facial masques can either be bought or homemade, however,

choosing the right masque for your skin type is important.

choosing the right masque for your skin type is important. Facial masques can be quite costly so a good way to save is to make your own masque at home using all-natural ingredients.

Below is a recipe for making your own masque for combination sensitive skin. This beats other pricey cosmetics or beauty products in stores and is a soothing facial remedy you can easily do at home.

Honey Facial Masques

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 10 tablespoons quick oats - Soothing and purifying effects
  • 1/2 apple, cored - not peeled - high in antioxidant phytochemicals
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt - lactic acid bacteria will help dissolve dead skin cells
  • 1 egg white - helps firm the skin and it soaks out oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey - mildly anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, emulsifying power, aids in adhering masque to skin

Instructions:

Stir the hot water and oats until it is smooth. Let it stand for about 5 minutes or until mixture is paste-like in consistency. Mix the remaining ingredients in a blender for 45 seconds. Add the oatmeal mixture and blend for another 20 seconds.

Smooth the masque onto your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. Lie down and relax while waiting for the masque to dry. Facial masques can be left on from anywhere between 10 to 20 minutes depending on skin type. For best results, steam your face five minutes before applying the masque.
